We endeavour to develop a varied programme of walks to suit all abilities, from gentle to challenging, and generally put on two or three walks a week. The areas where we walk typically lie within a two-hour travel time from Livingston. The walks programme is planned and published every three months. Walks are held on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The Ramblers website provides a grading classification for walk difficulty and what to expect when you join a group walk. The grades and frequencies of walks in our programme are indicated below:
| Day of week | Frequency | Typical walk grade |
| Thursday | Weekly | Leisurely to Moderate |
| Thursday evening | Fortnightly | Easy to Leisurely |
| Saturday | Fortnightly | Easy to Leisurely |
| Sunday | Weekly | Moderate to Strenuous |
The walks typically vary from easy or leisurely walks of a few miles to strenuous walks of 10 to 15 miles.
You can attend up to three trial walks before deciding whether to join the Ramblers and the Livingston Group.
To book yourself onto a walk, kindly contact the walk leader using the contact details provided for the walk (Usually by phone or messaging).
If you have any questions regarding a walk, feel free to reach out to the walk leader before the event.
