Carn Liath and Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain Sunday, 21 July 2024

We started at Loch Moraig car park. The weather forecast was good – sun and clouds and twelve of us covered in sunscreen happily strolled along the track.

The path to Carn Liath turns to the left and gradually gains height. Climbing up the weather started to change drastically and on the top of first Munro it was very foggy with some rain. However, when we started the decent on a lovely ridge, the clouds disappeared, and we could clearly see the second Munro. Two of the group decided not to continue to the second Munro and choose to wait for us on the bealach.

The climb to the second Munro was enhanced by the perfect view and on top we enjoyed the panoramic views of the surrounding hills. We descended the same route down we climbed until bealach and then turned onto a small path and continued down the hill back to the track to the car park. Everyone enjoyed the walk and beautiful Scottish scenery.
